Introducing SafeArrival – A New Way to Report Student Absences
Beginning on Monday, December 8, our school will be using SafeArrival to report student absences. SafeArrival is designed to make it easier, faster, and more convenient for families to report absences and late arrivals.
With SafeArrival, there’s no need to call the school and leave a message. Instead, you can quickly and securely report your child’s absence in one of three ways:
Using the SM Home App: Download and install the SM Home app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
Online: Visit home.schoolmessenger.ca.
Phone: Call the toll-free number 1-844-478-2598 and follow the prompts

Interview Night: Wednesday, November 19th, 2025
All OCSB elementary schools are closed throughout the summer. Register for school using our online form. If you have questions, contact our Admissions Department by email at admissions@ocsb.ca or by phone at 613-228-3338.
St. Monica uses an online system for booking teacher interviews. Click on this link to access the booking page. You will then select the teacher's name(s) and the link will take you to a Google Calendar for that teacher. Each interview will be 10 minutes long and will be in person at the school. Out of courtesy to other parents, please only book one time slot per teacher.
The online system is now available.
If your child is in Kindergarten, only book one interview with your child’s homeroom teacher and Registered Early Childhood Educator.
If you are unable to book a time to see your child’s teacher, or should you prefer a phone or virtual meeting, please write a note in your child’s agenda or contact the teacher to arrange for another time to discuss your child’s progress.
